6 Day Course
Theme: thematic funds
Day 1: Monday
Thematic funds or sectoral funds are considered as one of the riskiest categories of mutual funds.
They invest in stocks from one sector or theme. Eg: Pharma sector, auto sector, etc.
In most mutual funds’ cases, it is said that investing for the long run is best.
In case of thematic funds, timing can actually be very crucial. Investing with eyes shut, for the long term, can be risky.
It is often said that these mutual funds are not suitable for all investors.
In fact, only investors who have expertise in a certain industry or sector should invest in these funds.
In this week’s course, we will try to understand these mutual funds.
