It is a tool used by investors and traders to limit their losses in the stock market
With a stop-loss order, if a stock’s price falls to or below the set level, the stock will be sold automatically.
Example: if you buy a stock at Rs 100 and set a stop-loss at Rs 90, the stock will be sold automatically when the price reaches Rs 90, preventing further losses.

Featured Question
Q. "For IPO, when they get listed, we see that it is listed as Flat or x% Premium. But IPO doesn’t have any fix Price. So how we can say that it is listed as Flat or at x% Premium?"
The premium considers the price when the IPO share was issued to an investor.
Let’s say an investor was issued IPO shares at a value of Rs 300.
On the day of listing, there is a pre-open session. In this session, investors are able to place their orders for these shares.
The IPO shares get listed at 10 am.
The orders placed during the pre opening session is used to determine the share price when the IPO share lists at 10 am.
The difference between the listing price and the issue price is the premium or discount.
Example:
You were allotted shares in an IPO where each share was issued for Rs 300.
Upon listing, the first trade took place at Rs 330. This is Rs 30 more than the issue price.
So the IPO listed at a premium of 10%.
