6 Day Course
Theme: understanding FIIs
Day 1: Monday
Many of us know that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) form a big chunk of investors in India.
Their buying/selling can influence the markets greatly.
But many of us tend to treat them as one block that acts the same which is obviously not the case.
In this week’s course we’ll dive deeper into this category and try to understand more about FIIs.
Any institutional investor that is not based out of India is categorised as FII.
This includes sovereign wealth funds, pensions funds, mutual funds, ETFs, index funds, hedge funds, banks, private equity funds, trusts, and even high-net worth individuals who use family offices to invest.
That is a very diverse group of investors. Each of these investors has their own style, investment duration, investment target, style, objective, holding period, etc.
We explored the question “What if your large-cap funds shared most of their portfolio?”
